JENKINTOWN PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEYS
A new report by insurance carrier Allsup details which states and industries see the highest rate of injury throughout the United States. The report, Allsup Study of Workplace Injuries, shows that injuries vary greatly not just by industry and state, but also by the same industry across different states.
The report places Pennsylvania in the fifth highest spot, shared with nine other states. The rate of injury in Pennsylvania is 0.8 injuries per 100 workers. That rate is just higher than the national average of 0.7 injuries per 100 workers and 0.6 cases per 100 workers lower than Maine, which has the most injuries per working individuals in the country.
According to the report, the industry with the most workplace injuries across the U.S. was amusement parks and arcades. According to Allsup’s report, the following list rounds out the top 11 industries that see the most workplace accidents:
- Animal slaughtering and processing
- Beverage manufacturing and foundries (tied)
